Electrical Problem

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I just bought a 2005 BMW 325i and my instrument cluster stopped working... When I turn the ignition on, the only lights that turn are abs and air bag. Once I start the car they disappear. I checked the fuses, unplugged the cluster checking the connection, disconnected the battery. Nothing helped... What should I do next?

I'd check to see if the cluster works properly by using the test function (function 2 in http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/printthread.php?tid=22524)

If the gauges don't work, may just be a bad cluster. If they do work, could be bad wiring, module, sensor, etc.
