Out of curiousity, upon doing such a swap, does everything else still work? ABS/DSC/instrument cluster?

I also remember reading about some shop in NY that does this swap at a low price but they keep your existing engine and tranny. Cant remember the shop now..

If everything is done right, yes!
I had two S62 swaps including auto to manual conversion done, and its all up to OEM specs.

Thats good to hear! No matter how good your right foot is, I cannot imagine not having DSC and ABS and having to drive with that much power in snow covered roads.
