Don't forget to mock up your oil filter housing. It will impact your radiator outlet and the remote booster. I left mine to the last minute and ended up being a pain in the a$$. I would also consider an aftermarket remote filter kit. It may be a bit pricy and will need some fab work but it will clean up the engine bay. (and oil filters will be much cheaper in the long run)

Yea for sure. I want to mock everything up before pulling It all out and painting the engine bay. Makes for more work, but I want to make sure everything fits properly so I'm not going back and adding brackets after everything is painted. Ill look into the remote filter setup. Thanks for your help dude!

Thanks guys! Didn't get much done last weekend, but I'm hoping to get a fair amount done next weekend. Still need to drop the rear subframe and change all the bushings + need to find a 3.15 lsd.

Haven't got as much done on this as I was hoping to in the last few months, but have been busy with other things (including the chump car!).

Here is an exciting update though. Finally finished up the engine bay!

Finished up the removable core support:

Cleaned up the e36 steering rack:

Made some progress on the motor this weekend. Replaced all the seals and gasket, and cleaned all the crap out of it. There was massive oil buildup in the intake manifold, as well as the intake valve chambers. Usually a sign of a faulty crankcase vent valve on these motors.

Cleaned up and painted the valve covers, as well as the motor mount arms.

And all together. Just need to bolt up the tranny, and its good to go in.
