Wink If the Shoe fits, Wear it...

Just thought I would share a shot or two and a writeup for my clownshoe because it's been a long time since we've had one on here/posted in the rides section. Winter storage has me in withdrawl too, so this is as good as it gets to spending time "laced up" lol .

2002 BMW Z3 3.0i Coupé
Sapphire Schwarz Met.
73,000km
Black leather interior w/Glass roof & factory colour coded center console
Every factory option avail. for these cars
Harman & Kardon pkg. w/ OEM Business CD43

Eisenmann Exhaust
Schrick 264/248 Cams
AvG (Hinrik Hutthof) Custom Tune (Regarded BMW, Porsche, Ferrari tuner in Germany)
K&N Airfilter

H&R Coilovers
H&R Adjustable Sway Bars
Powerflex Bushings (control arm, sub-frame, etc. etc.)
E30 M Gruppe N Top Mounts
OEM E46 M3 style 67 wheels - 19x8 et47 (10mm H&R spacer) / 19x9.5 et 27
Dunlop Sport Maxx GT's - 225/35/19 & 265/30/19

Zimmermann Cross Drilled Rotors w/ Zimmermann Pads

That's about it... plans for next year aside from routine maintenance include an oem SSK option w/clutchstop, M coupé finned diff. cover and if Santa is really good to me this year, then my dream set of BBS LM-R's

Two pics is all I've got on this laptop, so with that I bid you and all your BMWs that find themselves likewise in hibernation... adieu

Sheldon, it looks amazing. Early this year I was searching for one. I'm waiting for the 15 year rule to come into effect before I import one.

Canada did not get non-M Z3 coupes, US got:
Z3 2.8 Coupe - 1,018
Z3 3.0i Coupe - 1,055

Thanks Anuk, I think they complement the car well, especially the concave face of the rears. That being said, I had a feeling you might be one of the guys that threw an immed. vote in for my BBS LM-R hopes lol.

Thanks! Like already mentioned, the non-M coupé wasn't brought to Canada, cool thing is only 50 in the combination of sapphire schwarz on black leather were brought to the states. Ironically only 9 in the combo of sapphire and ext. walnut were sent over and one of them has found its way up into Canada making it the only 3.0 coupe in the country.. it's actually currently for sale in Calgary.

Another cool fact in terms of rarity is that less 3.0 coupés were produced than S52 motored M coupés.

Thanks Trev! I had no idea you were looking. Yeah the 15 year rule is a real killer in the case of the coupe. They've been pegged as one of the few immediate modern day classic BMWs and their prices have already started rising accordingly. I read this a while ago on Wikipedia and was quite surprised to find it out, "As a result of their relative rarity, M Coupes retain more of their value than any other BMW since the E30 M3."

Congrats Sheldon.. Very nice Coupe and subtle mods you got there. Nothing compares to driving a Coupe to be honest, maybe one day I hope that I'll have the privilege to own another one.

Thanks Jeff, the mods are subtle/clean while making just the right significant difference(s). You're right, the coupe really is a unique driving experience... I really want to drive one with the S54. I've driven a few S50 powered ones and it's always a drastic change going between them and the M54 (each shines in its own right, especially depending on the driving situation). Here's to hoping you find your way back into one

Sheldon always has the best taste in cars! Have you dyno'ed it? The mods are pretty much the same as I had on my 330, so I'm curious to know

Congrats man!

Thanks, they suit the car well (ETs too). That being said I'd replace them in the blink of an eye if I came across an affordable set of BBS LM-R's.
You'll see it out in the summer if you happen to be in the Munich area lol

Michel! Thanks man, I remember your imola beast.. my engine setup is very similar. I haven't had it dyno'ed.. I've never been one to do so with cars but if the opportunity presents itself this summer I'll do it. I'd be happy with anything north of 260hp (or 260hp even). What was your car making in its prime?

Hope you and your brother are doing well. Let him know I said hi
