Question E39 - Clutch Replacement

My 2003 M5 clutch has about 150,000 KM on it and is starting to
show some signs of its age. I will most likely have it replaced next
year, perhaps in the spring. I do most work on my car myself but
this is something I don't have the time or experience to do.

So, I'm looking for suggestions on an indy shop that can do the clutch
work for me. Anyone had a clutch done on an E39 M5 or 540 in the
GTA and feel like recommending a shop ? I want someone that has done
this many times before, a shop where I won't have to go back 2 or 3x
before its right, one that has good parts prices, or will allow me to source
and provide the clutch parts.

I've heard RMP Motors may be a good choice, anyone had a clutch done
there ?

..

Do it once, do it right.

Give Stance Factory in Ajax a call. They've worked on plenty of E39 M5s this summer alone.

I bought my parts from Mike Agius at Maranello BMW/BMW Mississauga and had them installed by Altech Automotive in Etobicoke. Reasonably priced and thorough. Talk to Pat or Jimmy.

My friend had his clutch done at RMP on his '03 M5. Great work and a good price.

BTW. Cheapest price is on modbargains. OEM LUK clutch kit for $200. All M5board.com guys get it from there.

I am pretty sure that your friend Peter changed his M5 clutch at Stance Factory not long a go, unless your are talking about some one else.

Especially when those options are more than 10x the cost of an OEM clutch kit!

Thanks for all of the feedback !!! I will most likely use the LUK or
Sachs clutch as they are OEM spec and many folks on the E39 boards
have had good results with them.

I had such a horrible experience with Altech when i took in my audi a4 to get the cat changed. They messed up alot, burnt the o2 sensor wires and broke the flex pipe while they were at it...

Cheapest price is here
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39...eel-359-a.html

And get it shipped to this mail forwarding place will save u $$

http://www.cbiusa.com/

make sure you do your rear main seal, fork lever and pivot pin.
