$29.95 winter vehicle inspection and 1-year BMW Roadside Assitance

I am a long-time CAA member and I was curious of how well the BMW roadside assistance program works in comparison. The inspection is just that: a way for BMW to tell me that I have a bunch of things wrong and I should spend some money to fix it. What I am wondering is if the $30 is worth it for their roadside assistance?

Pulling up to the dealer service desk with an e36 is sort-of fun as well, haha.

Its worth it for the roadside, but it also doesnt hurt to get insight from bmw on a 55 point inspection to see whats going on with your car

I believe on the road-side that they will only tow your car to the nearest BMW dealership

This. Also, they didn't seem to happy with doing it on an E30 beater...

^^^^ i agree! but for 30 bucks for a 55 point inspection isnt bad as well...

I Love my CAA plus membership, i rarely travel more than 200km away from home and i got 4 tows at 200km each!... however CAA does take about 45 mins to come.

If the roadside assistance allowes me to tow the car to the Dealership of my choice then it would be worth it

I have a gold Visa card, and it provides the equivalent of CAA coverage for up to 200km. I've used it twice in the last 5 years or so. Once was my truck that died in Buffalo, and they towed me across the border hoes to my local mechanic.

Works great, and covers all cars.

I'd be weary of getting this inspection done on a vehicle without catalytic converters..

legal shit-storm potential.
