Alright so I brought the car Thursday evening and today he removed the oil pan.
Spun rod bearing on cylinder #6. There is some scoring on the crankshaft so in order to do a proper job he has to pull the engine out, remove the crankshaft and send it to the machine shop to get it resurfaced and mated with a new bearing. The machine shop will also measure everything to see if it's within specs. Maybe I will need a new rod.
It won't be cheap, but it will be cheaper than a used engine.
George seems very knowledgeable and he takes the time to explain what's going one. I can't say anything negative at this point.
