Ontario 20 year old+ Car Insurance

Hello,

Sorry if this topic's been covered before, but it's one that I need some help with. Ontario, Canada related.

I'm interested in insuring an older car for daily use. Maybe an E30, early E36 or even an NA Miata, and I'm running into the roadblock of some of the discount insurers not willing to cover a car that is more than 19 years old.

What solutions do you use? Am I missing any insurers who cater to "our kind"? Who insures your 1993 and older models?

Thanks and happy motoring.

Early in 2013, I got my 1988 civic sedan insured with Desjardins for $1200. Took less than 30 minutes to get everything done over the phone ! It's almost 26 years old !
I switched because out of no where, Intact insurance wanted $2900 ! Buncha rip offs !

Call CAA insurance..they ask for pics and maybe an appraisal..but they will insure you. At some point they didn't with me but changed their requirements down the road.

CAA had no problems insuring a 40 year old car. Did not even ask for the appraisal.
