How does this even happen?

Noticed this after a year of owning my m3. (Colours are backwards)

not that i know of. in pictures of evo 1,2 and sport evo i dont see the badge changed.

Do you think that someone has replaced the emblem at some point with an Ebay one for example and the manufacturer did a poor replica?

i am 1000% sure its a M3 lol i went to dealership and ordered a key and i asked for a list of what options it had when purchased and they printed me a list of everything: options, production date, date sold, where it was sold, price etc.

not blind just dyslexic... or they were standing on their head... the badge is just upside down is all... it took you over a year to notice so I would'nt sweat it... now it's unique...
did you check the birthday on your car? maybe the guy on the line was suffering from monday morning syndrome.... or it's cousin oktoberfest-kopf...

You can buy just the sticker, instead of buying the whole emblem... I'm guessing the oem one was worn out and they bought the sticker but didnt realize the shear magnitude of such a mistake!!!! Tisk Tisk Tisk...
