It's gonna be hard finding others by only advertising here since most members on this forum drive e46.

Then again advertising a GB-like sale on e90post will only get you banned...

Please indicate, for potentially interested folks, how they can determine if they have the alarm retrofit/pre-wire.

NM, just use this link and triple check if your car comes with the alarm prep. www.bmwvin.com

Run the vin decoder and look for option:SA 5GA Alarm pre-wiring

The old thread linked in the first post also says:

Compatibility: Cars that are pre-wired for the alarm system (option code SA 5GA). These particular kits are only compatible for E90/1/2/3 up to the production date of 03/09. Note a production date before 03/09 doesn't necessarily mean you're pre-wired either as pointed out by Rampage9. I think if your rear view mirror has the "rudolph nose" then it's a good sign you're pre-wired but you should follow one of the DIY's to verify the wiring as well.

+1. Just look for the SA5GA code.
@OP- Are we moving with this gb or should we just contact Mike on our own?

OP - Give us an update by July 22 or I'll go ahead and purchase my own. I'm sure it isn't that expensive even without the gb price.

Hey, Mike hasn't replied me since two weeks ago.

I will try to phone him up tomorrow.

And you are right, without the group buy you are probably only paying maybe $30 more.

Plus we still need a 10th person, not counting whoever has already decided not to buy... sigh. Lol

Sorry guys,

I think I will give up on this after Today. I tried to get a hold with Mike but I could not. It seems like he has move to BMW Mississauga from BMW Maranello according to Amit from Maranello.

Hope you guys understand, and good luck finding a good priced alarm!
