Can it look good this color?

84 318i, some maroon color.

I need to paint b/c of the clearcoat, and would like your opinions on this color(keep same color = cheaper). I have had the car a week, seen it only twice, while it was dirty. I'll be heading back out there today to see it and put some 10 days on it. Can it look good once I get some clay bar and 3-step lovin going on?

also anyone know the paint code or where to find it?

I would respray the car with the E36 maroon colour. Not only will it bring your car's image up to date, but you wont need to do a complete colour change because your original colour is so close that nobody will really notice the difference in colour. (ie:when you pop the hood and show the engine bay, etc)

ya its original, but I've only seen it on E30 and E34.
