On the topic of M3's, anybody know this one?

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ489208279

2006, manual, OEM Navi, USA car... $14k tells me it's not a clean title as stated in the ad.

People are often confused as what a clean title means, it could very well have a clean title, yet been in several accidents. He does state it was rear ended in the ad.

Clean Title ≠ No Accidents

Clean Title just means it hasn't been written off and branded by insurance companies and then rebuilt.

Thats what I mean. It's selling for regular 3 series prices, it's the final year of the E46 m3 and likely has all options, is it possible it's not a insurance write off/rebuild title?

So I asked around about that 06 M3 on Kijiji I posted, one of my acquaintances who works at a said shady car lot saw the car and ran the vin. Before the car was exported to Ontario in 2012, it was noted at auction that it had frame damage... but the last claim for it was in 2008.

So maybe it was in an unreported/unclaimed accident... clean title by technicality?

The frame damage was never fixed, well properly. The factory weld to the strut tower was siliconed, and has a huge gap that can be seen while turning the wheels with the car stationary. Car has a new vanos, bolts, hub etc and valves that were SOO out of wack. The car had shims that shouldn't be where they were.

Stay away from this car at all costs. The owner who has it now, bought it unknowing anything unfortunately and we had to let him know the bad news. It's an 06 for so cheap, I wouldnt sell my 03 for near that much......half of these cheap M3s, are POS.

^ good to know, thanks.

I'm guessing Euro Motors where he got it from based on the license plate frame should also be avoided. Their ads online sometimes look tempting. (http://www.euromotorsports.ca/index.htm)
