beisnan vanos repair question

i have read about the vanos repair and was wondering if i need to do an oil change at the same time?i have the kit already and was hoping to do it this weekend but i still have approx 5k til next oilcahnge.is it neccessary?

No its not necessary. You won't lose much oil when you take the VANOS off. I only had to add about half a liter when I was done.

^ this. If you have a ZHP do the rattle fix as well.

No it won't fix the rattle. The rattle comes from the bearings inside and there is a different fix for that.

I actually have the bearings that need to be replaced if you need them. A friend of mind bought them and didn't end up using them.

As mentioned before oil loss is almost nothing...

However, you should replace you valve cover gasket while you have it off.
Mine was rock hard and broke into chunks.
