Sending you a PM RE: detailing.

Anyways, enough threadjack. I hope OP sells this car soon, it looks great.
Yeah, things is I couldn't sell it with transmission or issues for any good money -- given it's already a "cheap car" at this point. Ah well.

Good luck with sale, and I hope you sell it before I give it a second thought later (as usual).

Poop, if I didn't have a year and a half left on my lease I'd be all over this. GLWS and let me know if it's still available near the tail end of 2014

Your Individual sticker is only for your trim. In North America E39 M5 were only available with the wood trim.

Both, Heritage and Sport seats are wrapped in Nappa leather.

Not true, my M5 came with the aluminum look trim stock and it's a CDN car.

My bad, you are right, Canada did get. It was only the US where the only choice was wood interior. However, Terry got Titanium trim, which was not available as a regular option on the E39 M5s.

It is strange though, US was the only country that did not get wood trim on the E46 M3, but for some reason it is the only country where you could not get anything but a wood trim on the E39 M5s.

Can you PM me your VIN? I'd like to see if there is a separate option code for the aluminum trim. BMW started using a unique option code for each trim only with the introduction of the E46, so it is hard to determine the original trim on the E39s.

Well, I was wrong again. Guess I should read more carefully and god damn Terry with his Individual car confused me even more.

OK, so here how it is, straight from a BMW's sales book for MY2001.

Sport trimmed M5s came with Aluminum-look trim standard. You could get Bruyere Club wood trim as a no-cost option.

Luxury trimmed M5s came with Bruyere club wood trim standard and you could change it to Burl walnut trim at no cost.

Since Terry's car has Luxury trim, Aluminum-look trim was not an option for his car, but it looks like previous owner really wanted it and he got it through the Individual program, hence the Individual sticker.

I was confused by it since Aluminum trim is called "Aluminum-look trim" on the sales documents, but it is called Titan on the build sheets and in the ETK. All this time I thought Aluminum-look trim is different from Titan trim, but it looks like they are the same.
