Dumb question re: spark plug end caps

I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the little threaded metal electrode end caps on a new set of Bosch supers so that the boots will fit. I'm using plyers and scratching them up. Any advice?

Figured out you just need to use pliers and elbow grease. Those things are on tight!!

I had a set of plugs that crappy tire sold me. NGK's. turns out when in the vise and using pliers. I broke the whole electrode out. they were NOT removable. damn crappy tire

You can look straight at the end. If it is two pieces then you can take the cap off. If it is just a solid grey piece don't use a vice and pliers.....
