2004 745LI - dead engine

Wondering if you guys could help me with what other years can I buy to replace the engine from my loveliest car.... called a place in toronto to have it rebuilt and they want like 8K! - found an engine in california and can get it delivered for 4k and installed by my buddy for 1k. Almost committed at buying a 2002 engine, but the guy told me that it wouldn't work... would a 2006 engine work?

No kidding eh?
I love the amount of misinformation that spews out of people as fact.
I cannot get a low K, good condition, early e65 7er for 6K @ wholesale value, these people are talking retail for 6K. Ya, maybe if it has 300K?

Sorry to here your issues. Here you go. I'm sure you can tweak the price a bit. And upgrade yourself the 750i engine!!

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ472397136

Do your research and make a uick coule of calls to find out if there is anything else you need to change to get this transplanted in your 745i.

all the best.
