Where could I find the info/dates for those races at Calabogie? They look interesting, I'd like to maybe participate in one this year.

Car has stayed in the trailer since the race. Awesome to not have to do anything. I seem to have a *very* minor coolant leak - probably just have to tighten a hose.

This weekend I finally got around to installing the airbag helper springs on the truck - can't wait to tow again

The springs are fully extended now because the truck is on the lift - at ride height the bags fit perfectly.

Also added a couple of nipples in my bumper:

Interesting airbag setup. I have a set on my truck but they bolt from the frame to the leaf pack. Really helps when towing heavy

Had my second GT race of the season last night...

Well my night didn't go so well, but it could have been much worse!

Did about 15min in quali and then this:

Was pacing Chris ok, but was getting pad knockback so my first pump of the brakes always got nothing. It was pretty nerve wracking.

Something felt off but I couldn't put a finger on it...

Well, turns out my axle was slowly letting go. The pad knockback was from the rotor wiggling around as the threaded part of the axle began to shear off.

Turn in for 14, back end steps out in a weird way, I hear a boom and see my wheel & rotor go flying behind me.. Oh shit....

Get it back under control and park it up the hill.

Doesn't look like too much extra damage but I'll for sure need new axles(both sides!!!), wheel bearings, pads/rotors/calipers, maybe a lower control arm...

So weird though - I've never heard of a failure like that on a BMW. I was sure it was the wheel bearing until I got out of the car.

Pics of the failure:

I brought the wheel closer... It ha gone flying!

wtfbbq? It broke on the threaded part where the nut is?! That's strange!

Glad it wasn't worse and you were able to safely stop the car!

My guess is loosend up, or the bearing was starting to fail, and the wobble put pressure on the nut. Plus, when was the last time you changed those bearing .... right?

So, you want me to order 2 rear bearings, 2 rear hubs, 2 rear axles, 2 rear rotors, and 2 front bearings/hubs, right

yeah, that's probably a good analysis.

LOL... sounds about right on parts... except I have spare rear rotors already

hold off on ordering though - need to scrounge up some pennies!
