It's been 47 years since a great racing movie was made (plus "Le Mans" a few years later). This looks promising, but I wish someone as good as Howard would make a movie about the greatest of them all - Gilles Villeneuve.
I am going to see this one with Rudy (this way I don't have to pay for a ticket )
i will see this one for sure. but i also think that days of thunder was very good and showed real race car drivers.
I agree, it was very well made. But nothing can trump the very first F&F, it was right around the time when the tuner scene was starting to get attention and it completely blew up because of that movie, kids started realizing that their street cars were actually race cars and it catapulted the tuning and parts industry. The acting was phenomenal as well. Plus we have better drivers on the road because of it due to the upgraded parts on these cars.

Its a great movie. Keep in mind its made for hollywood, not F1 fanatics.
Having said that the acting was impressive although not flawless, and the relationship between lauda and hunt made for a good story.
