sparf328 re: PM - not at all interested in swapping out the seats.
You can keep your vaders, and I'd sell the entire interior for $12.9k.
Thanks,

and hold on, if the interior originally came with the car how come there arent any hurricane door cards?

2nd on the door cards question - seems strange to me, but I don't know what the "Individual" options were for '98..

Door cards are leather. As stated earlier I was originally told Waterloo BMW special ordered this interior. I'm sure they can provide some more insight into any other details.
As I was looking around last night looking at M3's comparables, I saw a few gray suede/cloth interiors and some had solid color door cards, and some did not. I guess it's hit or miss based on purchasers request?
I was planning on the weekend to pull off the painted white trim/moulding/lip to swap for black. Not feeling the love on the forums with the alpine trim. Kinda looking forward to it. I may love it all over again after the swap to black and not sell. We'll see.

Post pics after the trim switch I'm sure it will look amazing!
Do you also have a black rear diffusrer? I can remember I had to source one a while back and it was incredibly difficult. I ended up buying an entire bumper to get the oem diffuser

OP, if you want to strip the paint of the rear diffuser, let it soak in brake fluid, DIY's can be found online, it is much safer on plastics than conventional paint thinners.

What do you mean? This car needs nothing. The tires are new.
After posting the pictures and going over the car top to bottom again, I noticed some missing caps that are pissing me off. The bolt cover on the valve cover shown in the pic above, and the airbag clip/cap thing on the driver door card. Tomorrow I'll be at Mississauga BMW getting/ordering them.
I may hold out on the trim swap. Have 2 maybe 3 potential buyers coming on Saturday to see it. The 2 serious guys don't care that the trim is white. 1 guy has looked at almost a dozen e36 m3's in Ontario, and he says there is a lot of junk out there. "Too much lipstick being put on pigs" he says.
Let's see how this plays out.

I dont want to ruin your thread but this is false. Unless you refreshed the old plastic and rubber(mainly bushings)it will need quite a few things to be tip top. Not that its rolling down the road like a jalopy(not even close) but old rubber and old plastic degrade with age. Nothing you can do about that. But anyone serious about this car should be aware of that already. Like I said your asking price is fine(actually its pretty great deal imo)

I'm my experience, cars show signs of wear and need suspension rebuilds around the 185-225kms mark. Look around at cars for sale with mileage in the early to mid 200's and they all have some form of recent ballpoint/tierod/bearing/strut mount/bushing...etc - maintenance done.
That is why I say this car needs nothing and shouldn't for awhile. Mind you, this is a BMW, and also a M at that; so plan to turn your wallet upside down and give it a shake every so often. The car game is a disease some of us are plagued with. I need an intervention. Lol.
