You'd have to know the methanol has to be consumed ASAP. Great time to take your car on a cruise.

No it doesn't... Methanol won't do any damage as quickly as you're making it out to be... You're not running it pure there will still be some pump gas in your tank and once you fill it up with more pump gas you won't even notice a difference, neither will your fuel system or any other part of your car.

If you run your car on pure methanol then yes you need to take precautions.
