CMHC seeking to hide foreclosure information from home buyers

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. has been asking realtors for months to keep consumers in the dark about whether the properties it sells are part of a foreclosure, according to a document obtained by The Financial Post.

The move, said to be part of CMHC national policy, upset Quebec realtors who refused to play ball, worried about an ethical breach.

A few people I know got they real estate license in 2011 and the total amount of property they sold was three since then...too many realtors in the GTA and not enough property to go around, yes a few make good money but thats like %5 of the thousands of realtors out there.I know a lot went back to their other jobs because they cant make decent living selling homes.

+1. I see that as their part time job because many work 9-5, and go after to show to the properties after business hours. So if you are not selling, and got no second income, you will be out fast. Having said that, until now people were flipping a lot, and with houses going for so high, I don't see that happening as We used to see five years ago or so.

Yeah, construction is slowing down hard, there are lots of hiring freezes across trades in low rise and high rise residential. Investors and builders are predicting a slowdown in the next 2-3 years.
