The turbo is my back up car in the warm months. I'd never pick it over the stroker unless I felt like cruising around upsetting people with expensive cars by dusting them with my beater lol.

Ya that thing is far too stealthy for it's own good. I think you should grow a mustache and wear a fedora when you drive it to add to the look.

Did you ever sort out your hood on this car?

Looks like you're on a roll... Is the stroker on MS?
I also like the fancy high precision drawings and measuring tools errr coat hangers in the beginning lol.

Yeah the stroker is on MS.
Sometimes you gotta use the 'ol thumb gauge when you're building things lol

Small updates:
The aluminum tubing showed up a couple days ago, so next week I'll cut a couple pieces and get them tacked on to the manifold in order to check clearances. I also made up a set of stainless steel spacers to space one set of throttle bodies...
I'm still considering what approach to use to extending the throttle sync tabs. Right now I'm thinking that since it's only 8mm they have to be extended I will just build them up with weld and then just grind them back down to the proper thickness. If that doesn't work I'll have to cut off the current tabs and fashion a small piece out of flat bar that can be welded on...

for those of us not familiar with ITBs, where are the throttle sync tabs in the picture? whats their function? Im assuming they need to be extended because of the extra spacing?

See how in this picture below there's an upper and lower spring....
With regards to syncing, each throttle has an extra vacuum port with a little rubber cap on it. When you want to sync the throttles you have to hook up a vacuum gauge to the throttle and adjust the screws on either side until you get even vacuum on all of the throttle bodies. You can see the adjustment screw has a dab of yellow paint from the factory because they mark it when it's properly adjusted. When you turn that screw it breaks the paint, that way a dealer will be able to tell if you were screwing around with it. The lower spring is required so that there is no backlash in the system. I need to extend the tabs so I can put the smaller springs back in.

We have a cool tool at work, it's in the Motorad shop. Fancy digital vacuum gauge for syncing throttle bodies. I'll try and snap a picture.
I used it on a E30 M3 once.

Hmmm, so where I have circled in red, are the two tabs that need to be connected and that's how they connect to each other? If you try and bridge the gap with weld your gonna loose that backlash adjust ability correct?

Yes. You will not be able to sync the throttles so that they are all pulling equivalent vacuum if those connections are rigid.

Hmmm. well I know the axis that each tab rotates about is the same positionally, but it still seems awkward.
