2010 328 ix - engine sound on highway

Hello,
I just purchased a used 328ix and I LOVE this car. There is one issue - but I don't know if it is a "problem" or just normal for this vehicle.

Below 80 km an hour the engine is quiet - perfect. On the highway, at 80 and above, the engine is not quiet. I would describe similar to when you have a manual transmission, right before you gear up (when the RPMs go higher and you know you need to gear up).

So far the dealer says they aren't hearing anything, but I'm not sure if this is really normal.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your feedback!

I would ask the dealer for a test drive of the same car as yours, so you can compare if it is normal...or a problem..

Do the revs also go up, or just noise?

The sound seems at a constant level. I will check the rpms (I should have thought to do so -thanks). The service guys found two of the tire rims are bent, so they are replacing them. As soon as the car is ready we'll check out the rpms.
Thanks for your replies.
