What the hell is up with the oversalting??
Is it just mississauga? I am not driving ( obviously) but there is a flume of salt dust dust in the air all the time it looks almost like fog. Are they overdoing it this year or what?

Same here (High Park). Seems like they're not willing to take chances at all that anyone should have to drive in snow...
Sad thing is, it's probably safer that way. The number of people I've seen crashing on 1 inch of snow yesterday and today is ridiculous.

Its a sad sign of the times: common sense and prep like driving carefully and calmly AND proper tires and maintenance are not necessary!!!! Instead lets SALT THE $*&@ out of everything. 2 more months for me....

You know I actually saw a lady go down the steps @ the Go Train... she slipped on the insane amount of salt poured all over the steps, it actually caused the slip. She brushed it off and kept walking...

Probably due to how little snowfall we've had... it's like someone with blueballs - when it does happen, it's epic.

I've noticed the same thing. Roads are CAKED in layers of salt! It's nuts. Cars in front are kicking up small clouds of ground salt every time I'm driving. Shoulders of roads look pale white where its been untouched. Utterly ridiculous.

Its brutal, not even for enthusiasts but for anyone, every car is CAKED. I can't believe only enthusiasts are livid though, i mean everyone gets dirty from the shit.

Yup. Every single car out there is plastered in this nastiness. My own mother who is the farthest thing from a car enthusiast even complained about the disgusting condition of cars this winter due to salting, lol.
