With a tine budget like yours, (is there even a decent e36 possible for that price?) I would look at any e36 that isn't a rust bucket which runs like a pile of poop.

A well maintained E36 for 1K may be a long shot. When you factor in the cost to put it on the road, you may as well spend more on a better example. Maybe Terry can help you in that case.

It doesn't need to be perfect, and I know it won't be for that price, rust isnt a huge problem for me, and the interior can be extremely beat up since I will be stripping it out anyways

Why are you stripping it? And why isn't rust an issue?

Even a budget of 2k would get you something that runs and is road worthy -- any less and you have to be REALLY careful

I'm planning on turning it into a track car, And the rust I would like to learn how to fix on my own, when I say that I mean the rear quarters, not severe underbody rust. I also know about the rear subframe issue and I don't really care if it has it or not because if I'm taking it to the track it will need to be reinforced anyways

I have an 92 325 (M50 motor) with 310xxx km. Motor is strong but could use some suspension work. No major rust issues really. Looking to get something in your range. Located in Mississauga.
