This cable looks nearly identical to the one that I installed on my E46 here:

I'm sure the process will be similar (i.e. wiring harness into head unit, run the cable to your preferred jack placement, screw jack into mounting plate).

You can run it anywhere but the default location is the glove box and yes is still available.

Does this allow you to still use the CD changer and tape player? Does it work for NAV and DSP?
