Bolt Patterns

Hello everyone.

It looks like there is a decent chance I might be jumping into a 1 series. I'm wondering based on research, the 1 series has a 5x120 bolt pattern. Our current car is 5x114.3. I'm going to assume we will be selling the winter tires currently on our car as they do not fit the 1 series bolt pattern.

What tire size do you for winter tires on your current car?
If they are 205/55-16 or 225/50-16, you can separate the tires and wheels and have your tires mounted on BMW e36,e46, e9x 16 inch wheels. As long as your 128 has the stock brakes and doesn't have the upgraded Brembo brakes from a 135i, your good to go.

Edit to say that 135i's with the Brembo package will need 17 inch wheels to clear the calipers...check the offsets as well.

Winter rims are 17" not 16s. Thinking I might just end up taking the rubber off and buying new steelies to fit the bolt pattern.
