Flip key remote review

Hey guys, just got a flip key shell from eBay payed 18$ for it ripped my insides out of my original key and put it in the shell, then I got the key cut for 40$, I am amazed at the quality of the flip key considering it was a eBay buy from china. Took me 30 min to get it converted including the key cutting , I highly recommend getting this done if you like the flipkey idea. How difficult was it to rip out the insides and make it so the trunk and unlock buttons still function.

I don't really need the key function as I don't use the actual metal key for anything but the plastic casing is starting to look rough so I would like to give this a try

Ripping the insides was ez, took 2 min. Just score the out sides with a exacto knife and it will come apart

Yea that's it, minus the actual key, that you need to get cut. But there are two small Allen screws holding the key in place on the flip key so you may be able to rip out your old one and see if you can replace it with the blank

Why don't you need the key function? Got a push button?

yep I think all cars with this style key are push button. The only function of the actual key is as a back up in case automatic locks malfunction........and maybe glove box lock

Do you have pics of the guts after removing it from the original casing?
