Hi Folks. My Dad has to sell his other child!!! He has been invited to teach overseas as a visiting professor and his Ultra rare 540 M Sport wagon is for sale.

The car is in outstanding condition with 175k. Needs a pair of rear tires which I will source, other than that its perfect and ready to rocket.

Yes we've had it for about 3 years. Its probably in nicer shape now than back then. No expense has been spared to keep it in exceptional condition. Thanks for the compliment.

Also, a number of folks have privately reached out and advised me that at 15k the price is too high. I sincerely appreciate the feedback and I hope everyone understands that its difficult to price a car like this. If you ask a guy like my dad who thinks the E39 5 series wagon is the epitome of automotive beauty, performance and function the car is worth even more than 15k. :-)

As such, I've lowered the price on my Autotrader ad to $13500.00.

I am also open to trades in case you have an economical everyday car I can use as a second car to the one I put away for winter.

John you beat me to the post!

Spoke to my dad a few hours after you left and he is sad that its going but happy that its going to someone who will probably baby it even better than he could. I still would argue your plans to convert it to a 6 speed just so that the car stays "correct" and in its "as ordered" state. But man o man if you do it, will it ever be a monster....watch out! :-)
