The update is that I was sitting in his driveway at 4:30pm yesterday ringing the doorbell to no answer. Called him and he profusely apologized for completely forgetting about our meeting (wasn't home). We decided to meet up again today after my work (I work 10min from his house) to finish the transaction. So, you'll find out tonight (by 6:00pm) whether I "came through".
