There is no such thing as 6 cyl appropriate 318ti!!!
It can be done if you use the full spindle, but special bushing is needed, or the wheel will sit too far back

Correct me if im wrong but wasnt there a 6cyl ti offered in the states? Unless he found a ti that had a 6cyl swap.

I can only assume that you are doing a 5 bolt swap... Google it.. Youll find some good info on rev3 and e30tech

From what i remember you use the e36 struts, e30 strut mounts, e30m3 offset cab, post 97e36m3 control arms.

But id double check that...

You can't sell your ti stuff and get proper e30 stuff?

TI was swapped w iron block vanos 2.5 then done w appropriate coil overs ...

was available as 323ti in europe from 97-2000 which = 97-early 98 are good for importing as of now (battery moved to proper right rear) and newer alum block b25 employed ....

Thanx for the guidance .... Doing a part out so didn't see point of selling and getting another new set up when I could make this work

cormier, your suggestion seems like the right one ..... I think I will pursue that route

anyone have an idea of what a swapped 318ti would fetch about 200 on body and 250 on engine - but all working and properly done???

E36s are drastically down in value now -- most people I see selling them don't get asking or sold in timely manner.

It really depends on condition and what makes it stand out from the rest -- that said there is a following for the tis

Your plan is for a swapped e30?

Stock E36ti has non vented front rotors and the wheels will sit far too far back in the wheelwell.

E36M3 front knuckles and control arms will sit the wheel near teh proper specs, especially with caster gaining control arm bushings such as the stock e30M3 bushings or Treehouse racing delrin ones.

Basically, E36 non-M does not fit, is not an upgrade and will make you hate driving the car. The E36 compact rear end will bolt right up, however, then you're half way there.

.
After mid 98 the Ti came with vented rotors, like the rest of the E36's!

Euro, a favor in lieu of the $500 you owe me (that u publicly declared, and for which I have the proof of purchase), some advice please..... what do you think this ti, with drilled and vented rotors would go for....I'm torn between parting and cleaning it up and putting it up for sale.....so your expert advice needed, again in exchange for this consulting, I will forego the $500 crispy bills ....lol
The ti utterly WAILS at 7k....too intoxicating to be taken apart bug $$ talks I guess

if you want a 5bolt swap for an e30, there is a guy local to me selling a setup with e36m3 front end and 318ti rear... cheaper than the e30m3 stuff with much bigger front brakes.
