headlight washer

hey guys a heave a quick stupid question to ask
i have recently noticed that my headlight washers are not working on my e39
after a bit of looking around i found out that he fluid tank for the washers is empty
so my question is: is there some special concentrated cleaner that i need to get or the simple windshield washer will do ?

also is there a specific button i press for the washers or it goes automatically with the windshield washer? this is the first car i have that has this feature

Yes and no. There is a button on the wiper control signal arm - if that makes sense. believe it is an "S" or something. The button is in the same location as the one that scrolls through the OBD. You can dump in a special formulated clearner, but just normal washer fluid will work
