keys

Anyone know where to get keys cut. Everywhere I go doesn't have the right blank abd bmw told me $80 and a month from germany even though its a old car they just don't cut them at all.

just get a blank from the dealer or ebay, I paid 20-25$ AT the stealer, then just find an old place that still does it by hand not the automated machines, they usually refuse since they can't replace the blank if it fails, but just accept and deal with them that you will come back to trim it again until it fits, mine worked out great didn't even have to come back to trim!

Unless things have changed within the last couple years that's BS. I ordered a cut key for my E30 from BMW, it cost less than $100 and only took like a week because the key is cut somewhere in the GTA.

I got a pair of blanks from ebay for like $8-10 for the pair and went to Rona to get them cut.
