On a side note! Love the car. I saw it a couple of times at stance factory. Can't wait to see it now that it's all done!
Let me try and answer this as I was on the RTT trip the entire time.

Sia drove the car hard so it is hard to tell how good it could actually do. What I do know is even with him doing high speed runs (not all of us did), he constantly put 10-15L less fuel in his car at fill-ups then we did.

I would guess he is getting somewhere > 30MPG. The engine with all its new technology really doesn't have to work all that hard to push that old light euro body E28 down the road. With the 6 speed gearbox he put in, I bet the mileage is even better then it would be otherwise.

Again though, its really hard to tell... We were not driving for economy..

I had a chance to drive Sia's E28 S54 last weekend and was very impressed. The guys at Stancefactory sure have swaps down to a fine art. Everything in the car works the way it did back in '83 when it rolled off the assembly line. You'd never know it had such a beast lurking under the hood until you get on the loud-pedal. I even love how they integrated the "Sport" button in the console keeping the installation very clean. IMO, Sia needs a 4.10:1 diff to really wake this thing up (but i'm biased). The suspension feels pretty tired too, maybe a new set of coilovers & sway bars will give more confidence when throwing it into corners. Plenty of grip from the Michelin PSS tires though. The exhaust sound is very reminiscent of my E30... setting of car alarms driving down the street. Great job guys!

It was a good time Randy, with four people and trunk full of stuff from my trip it wasn’t a bad ride eh… also the existing suspension combination is Billy sport, eiboch spring and suspension techniques sway bars (25k on them), but I guess with added power and larger wheels and tires it sure feels a bit softer than your e46 beast for sure, I will take your suggestion and see what is out there interims of coil over and may be even thicker sway bars.
Good call Randy, You are the third person who told me that, I should add that Jay and Mike said the same thing, but I wanted to try it on my trip to RTT so I can figure out what else can be improved. In addition you guys track your car in every chance you get , but unfurtunatly I haven’t got a chance to do that lately because of the congested schedule and work commitment, one day soon though.

The car now sits on larger Alpina Softlines in 17" staggered sizes wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

M5 cluster installed. Yes it functions just like it did in 1985, even with the modern engine sending signal.

With the rest of the SF S54 swaps:

Sia has informed me that a nice big box of new mods is on its way to the shop. I'll update the thread when they're installed.

Thanks! ZiMMie still has all of his BBS setups, he's being a weirdo and wants to be "functional" with the staggered LTWs so far this year. It'll never catch on.

Clarence, there is no rush, those bad boys will be installed next week, I can’t wait to feel the brake pedal .

Jay thanks for the updated, I haven’t seen them in person yet, perhaps next week when I drop the car off.
Also a big thanks to Sam for making them for me and have them delivered straight to SF.

Not yet, but It’s almost ready and should roll on them next week, waiting for the new set of calipers for the rear wheels, the rear calipers that were originally sent, were too close to the wheels (4 pistons) so since they are made to order, Sam was nice enough to make new ones (4 pistons) and replace them and we are expecting them to arrive beginning of this week.

I second your emotion .........
