Cam Position Sensor: OEM vs VDO Siemens

Hey guys, the CPS has failed on my car, and I'm not entirely sure which one to get. The OEM is roughly double but comes with 2 year warranty from Maranello. This is what I think I'm going to do as $70 isn't going to change the world and it's a royal PITA to change (need small hands to reach under manifold and unplug harness). Anyone have good luck with the VDO unit? I've read a couple reviews saying that they have a high DOA (dead on arrival) rate, and that worries me. I guess I should just money up unless anyone has rave reviews about the VDO unit.
