Get the same tune (that Evolve uses & rebrands) locally for cheaper by Mark D'Sylva. I'm running the tune on my M3 (and my wife's 335i) and love the results (and more importantly the customer service since it's local). (416) 553-8328

Interesting, how much does Mark charge? Never heard of him, I just ended up going with Evolve because of all the stellar reviews and I had a great experience with them even with the time difference.

I was under the impression that Evolve's were mostly all custom as everyone has different mods/preferences.

Either way, I couldn't be happier with the way my car drives/pulls.

Evolve resells the same handful of N54 programs over & over. I assure you there's nothing custom from them unless you're getting a live link tune done from a dyno. Mark datalogs your AFRs and actually writes custom tunes locally. He has canbus programming capabilities as well. Contact him for pricing.

Wish I would've known this before, but he'd have to have a damn good price for me to make an 8 hour round trip and make it worth my while.

Like I said though, I'm completely satisfied with my Evolve tune. I wasn't going to install it as I'm planning on going F/I, but I decided to go ahead and install it as I'm not sure when I'll be able to supercharge with my baby due in 5ish weeks

It's probably the same group buy, it was originally for the z4m guys but someone brought it over to m3forum and Evolve combined them.

I'm very happy with the way my car is performing. Bigger difference with the tune than the headers.

where do you find the tune makes the biggest difference. what part of the rpm range is it most noticable?

Mid to high end. It's noticeably easier to get the car up to speed, and if you take it all the way, the car just keeps going. The throttle response is a lot better too.

I've never driven a z4m so I'm not sure if they behave the same way as the M3, but the tune completely transformed the car. It's much more of a pleasure to drive now. Not as finicky or picky with operator inputs lol.

You guys should really dyno before and after. I would hate to spend all that money just so that my "butt dyno" tells me it's faster.
