The ad states "front axle shafts replaced " - I think something is wrong here...

Unless you forgot to mention it was an xi, there are no 'front axle shafts' on a rwd 325i.

Probably just a mistake.

I'm pretty sure it's an I and NOT an xi that being said if theres no such part on that model 325 then I'm sure it's just an error in the ad!
