testing a car is different that renting one.. in this instance the salesman were in the back seat and he would have heard the "thump" if the car hit the curb....also the salesman can do a walk around after the OP parked the test car and he didnt.. so he has no reason to chase OP for compensation...

went of the rez with some comments earlier, apoligeeze for that. but yeah, OP should of done a walk around of the car and made it sure it is tidy. at the end of the day you're taking out somebody else's property and they may not be honest.

no. The op didn't do anything wrong.

If there was damage, it should've been pointed out to him immediately.

rental car companies do this all the time. They'll do a walk around when you return the car, everything will be fine, then three weeks later they send you a bill.

They are trying to scam you. Tell them you feel like you are being scammed as obviously if you hit something during the test drive the employee of the dealership would've mentioned it at the time (otherwise, what would the point of him coming have been?)

Sucks that you're in this situation. Stick by your guns, they got nothin'.

OP's witnesses were in the car in question. If dealer had any witnesses, they wouldn't wait 5 days. Sales person was in the car and did not mention a thing. An infant can beat this in court.
