Seen this car, i know who did the swap too. Some ugly a$$ 3 tone interior though.

i like the interior. looks individual - ish. I've always thought this swap is cost prohibitive because of electronics involved.

what electronics? E34 has 1 auto trans relay to worry about, E38 has 2 when doing a swap. In general there is nothing to worry about, you can always hide your auto shifter position module and have manual in there. Glue it in neutral and forget about wiring at all. This is how they do it in remote villages of Europe.

Blue dash is gross in any car, IMO. Looks extra terrible here next to beige and wood.
Cool swap though, lol.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought OBD2 cars are a nightmare and a half because the computer needs to be reprogrammed. Not to mention the 7 would have to use a custom length driveshaft since that transmission never came with that engine in the 78? The 840ci is a different story since they actually came with 6spd from factory. In Europe at least.

Nice! I was endlessly jealous when Rob Levinson (the UUC douchebag) did a 6spd swap in his 750.

you can unplug the Transmission computer, you engine will run and rev up, it's all you want it to do.
