Thanks man! Hopefully it's not as bad as I'm describing it to be but only time will tell when I take a look underneath. +1 on the weather too. I f*cking love Canada sometimes.

Okay so finally putting it up I was able to snap some quick pics for you guys and to conclude "everlast" called it with torn boots on both sides. PHEW! Now that it's settled I'm looking for new axels and boots. Considering e30's or possible aftermarket ones if anyone knows of any. Cheers

**** I just threw out axles two weeks ago.
I got aftermarket ones from partsource, about $140 each.

If you still have those two from me they're in great shape.

Correction: Both CV joints and half shafts are mashed potatoes is what I gather when I re-looked at the problem is since my wheels still spun upon jacks. So I guess I'll pop off the rear axels to see how bad the joints are once I figure out what tool to use for those retarded inverted torque nuts to separate the axels from the diff.

After close to 2 months of procrastination i've finally removed both axles while managing to strip off on torque lug, took the diff cap off to inspect inside. I can take photo's of inside the diff and closer ones of the axles if you guys would like but for now from all that i can see and need are both rears. Got prices from partsource and axle automotive. Came to under 500. I don't even want to bother with oem prices, so any other suggestions where i should look?? Thanks guys

Clean diff fluid
I also haven't check the guibo yet but will soon, thanks for bringing that to my attention bear!

I have two ti half-shafts with about 70km on them. You are welcome to have them for $150 + shipping. I can get you some pictures of them if you wish.

OEM axles are not cheap but he got my some aftermarket ones. Keep the diff side cap from the OEM ones and swap them over, I had issues with that. But call Arek, hes awesome!

I'm not sure why it's not been said, but Euro Parts/Pieces in Alymer is the go to.
I know he has a whole 318Ti in there right now, with it's whole rear end. I think he wanted $200 for the whole thing when I asked. (That's subframe and everything that's attached to it. But that's if you take it out yourself)
(819) 682-0606 and you want to speak to Bob. He knows the BMW crowd and the plight of our breaky cars.
