Here are a few more pictures of the wheels installed on my personal car. Specs are 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et40 with 215/35/19 front, 235/35/19 rear on H&R Sport springs.

Rims look good.

You are probably already aware, but you've got rust under that lip.

It would suck to paint the entire fender, but it's probably reached the body side already.

Perhaps try some Por-15, and patch it for now (follow instructions).

There are companies that can blend in a small area (the size of a 1-2inch cricles) for cheap (after the repair)...

I thought 19's on a stock e46 would rub unless it was a 330 or m3?

19's do come in varying widths and offsets and there's a range that works on just about every car.

For starters, 19x8.5 ET35 with 235/35/19 tires all around should fit comfortably in your car.

Now you can play around a bit with the widths/offsets to achieve the look you're shooting for.
