I got an o2 sensor from parts source, the one with the conecter was $40 more, not having to worry about the condition of the used plug and that readings can be less accurate through soldering wires and such, plus time, honestly with plug is the way to go

If the total was like 70.00-80.00 for the plug'n play, in my book book it would worth it.

Forgot to mention, when I changed my o2 sensor, my mileage has improved afterwards. I can;'t comment on the exact numbers, by I'd say about 10% for my m42.

Does sensor you mentioned will fit to m40 as well? I looked up realoem.com but couldn't find where the o2 censor was.

Well you have to ensure you have o2 sensor in your car.
Check under the car, just before the cat you should see the sensor, if it is not there may be your car was not equipped with one.
