Bigger rims? They are 16 x 9.5!!! Keep in mind the rims look to be dirty and they are a dark color, making them appear to look smaller. I think once they are all cleaned up they will fit the part. IMO BIG rims don't suit E30s very well. 16-17 inch max. I won't lie, I have seen a few e30s pull off the DUB look, however I have also seen a lot of e30s look like hot wheel cars that come out of children's cereal boxes lol. To each their own.
Good luck OP. I once wanted to do what you are doing. That car will be a blast to drive.

Thanks. I think 16's suit e30 perfectly...the pictures dont do them justice, but once my coilovers are installed and the wheels are bolted in place, they should look a lot better. The wheels are also now flat black with polished hardware/ centercaps

Time for some proper stancification...
bc's with custom spring rates showed up today, once installed I can take some measurements and order spacers...then the wheels can be bolted to the car for the first time!!!!

NICE! I ordered BC coilovers as well. They are waiting to be installed.
Are you planning to bring the car to any shows this year?

So I had been debating a good way to mount my intercooler and build a skid plate...and after pondering for some time, I decided that a new lower rad support would be needed. So the work began
bye bye oem rad support...
this is the basis for the new one
rad mount tabs
installed and boxed in
intercooler tabs
all finished
while jeff was doing the fab work, I was bored so i polished the rest of the paint off of my center caps
then this happened

Met you tonight at the Tim Hortons in Grand Bend. This build looks INSANE and I'd love to check it out sometime.
Nice work, man!
