not the case; he's legit.. he called me back. he's somewhat negotiable, but knows he's asking a very fare price considering. has drivers frame rot though and would need replacing.

So, buy for 8k, spend a few days tearing it down, and sell for 8k? Sounds like a real money maker. Where can I sign up
More seriously, if I had the space right now, I'd jump on it, but I'm still working on a couple project cars.
Note, I did do this with an M5, but I paid $2500...and the part-out total was 8k. THAT's worth my time.

Now that is my kind of E30 M3. I've replaced the "framerail" section of a car where the front subframe is bolted to before.
Buy car for $6k, do some cutting, some welding and then have a cheap M3 that you can modify at will guilt free!

Has frame rot, some front fender rot, & the usual a pillar near the hood. No start but the guy isn't hiding anything so if some one can buy this car spend some coin on resto(frame/body) & paint & get it running all for under 16k then it wouldn't be a bad deal.

If someone buys it to part it out, I am interested in the engine.
If I had the room I'd buy it and part it out. One could quickly recover costs and profit from the parts. The rust sounds like it would be too extensive to spend the time/money to restore.
