Well the interior is all repainted and looking much better.
I got around to using the surgical tubing on the drivers side lap belts and it worked very well.
Got the car up in the air and it looks like my rear main seal is leaking

Glad to see you have some time to work on your own car, since you've been busy helping others with theirs.
Sucks about the rear seal, I know this will drive you up a wall till its fixed, I don't even think their is any other upgrades you can make to help make the work of fixing it feel better.
when is the first planned run of the car this year?

I'm still not positive if the seal is bad or not. I need to look at a few things first. I'm not even sure when I'm going to run it yet, I need to keep my eyes peeled for some days at Mosport. I might take it to Cayuga but that will require a muffler. So we'll see what happens!

Today Dave made the long trip to give me a hand with some things. We ended up getting the front struts pulled finally. Now I can get them shipped to TcKline tomorrow to be checked out. I should have them back in a week or two.
We also changed the power steering lines since one had a small leak. X-Brace is installed as well! Just need a sway bar up front to complete the front end.
The list is finally getting smaller. Still lost on the brake issue. I pulled all the caliper guide bolts out and noticed grease was non-existent and greased them all up. I'm probably going to go ahead and switch out the brake booster and master cylinder. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

Forget Mosport... get a muffler for it and do a few shake downs at Cayuga. You will need a safe test track where you can push the car over its limits... setup suspension and get familiar with the car...
should be a fun year for you...

I drove the car at Mosport all last summer. Cayuga is pretty boring unless you're competing. The car doesn't need any testing since nothing has really been changed. Mosport is perfectly safe

sorry
didn't know you had it out all last year...
good for you... how does it handle at its limits? forgiving? neutral? does it oversteer/understeer controllably? or is it a handful when it starts sliding around? have you driven it in the rain yet?
what does it weigh?
estimate power?

No worries! The car under steers a little in turn 3 and 8. Can't point the car in enough mid corner. So I'm tossing a bigger front bar in which should improve the handling. Super easy to drive at the moment though! I still need to figure out the shocks. I've had adjustable shocks for years but never really made a point of playing with them at the track. I haven't driven it in the rain yet but would love to. Preferably at a smaller track at first.
As for weight I'm not sure yet. No more than 2600 lb though. I'll find out when I get the car corner balanced.
I'm going to get the car to the dyno in two weeks to see about power. Im guessing it's slightly over 260hp. Hopefully it surprises me!

interesting... with mid corner understeer i would of tried increasing the rear spring rate 100lbs or softening the front. Im interested now to see if your bigger bar will help. Keep us updated...
i admire your persistency AND your ability to complete your project. I guess its come down to fine tuning and seat time now...

???? Forget Mosport? More like forget Cayuga! Did you recently buy shares over there or something?
