I vote that we meet in your garage and you show us all how this is done.. I don't mean doing an actual car, but just show us the tools, the techniques, etc. I'll pay for pizza!
Seriously though.

Porter cable and proper pads for what you want to do (deep cutting/light cutting/finishing) will greatly improve your results.
That being said, I used to love putting 8+ hours in to detailing...now I can't say the same. I'm not even sure where my porter cable is lol.
I'd be in for a meet for photo ops lol.

I just checked my calendar and I've commited to volunteer that day unfortunately, from 9am until around 3pm so it will likely have to be a different day.

When this does happen I'd be down for sure. I've got 2 cars that badly need a good detail, the M3 especially the swirls are quite bad, stupid black cars. But I'd love to know some good techniques for a shine like yours Z4MC. Looks incredible. And while we're at it maybe some pointers to get a garage as clean as yours too!

Wait till you get the carbon black corrected, it's incredible...It's by far my favorite paint color...I wish I would've gotten it again!

Ya I'd love to see it perfect. The previous owner didn't do a good job on maintaining the paint. It was way worse when I bought it, and I made it somewhat better, but it still needs lots of work.
I was really amazed at the complexity of the carbon black paint. Certainly not as simple as the name suggests. It's got so many different hues to it depending on the light and how you look at it. Almost every car I've ever owned has been silver, so it's quite a change.
