They were on a street not far from my house with a road block from what I understand. I've seen them in the past with books that show what emissions equipment a vehicle should have and they look for it.
Tonight i took it all off. pretty straight forward. the rad was a little tricky to get out. The only thing i didn't take out is the pipes that go through the wall on the passenger side.
Exactly what i did (another later thread). Fiddly fiddly shit but the RC rad comes out (without taking the main one) but cover your main one with cardboard, all the pipes come out to the firewall and all of a sudden things are nice and neat, save 38 lbs. weighted it.
Forgot to mention taking out the CFC cost $96 including tax and I called around but they were all about the same price....life gets more expensive in many ways.
There are probably hundreds per day.
