Those were rumors, RIM said they weren't ready to sell. It was analyst and investors saying that they should get out of the cell phone making business or license it to other manufactures and stick to enterprise services.
They are on their last lifeline, if things don't improve they may be forced to sell....
Shame to have another Canadian tech firm disappear because they got cocky (ie bad decisions) and the market overtook them. (Re: Nortel)
