Some older '84-'85 325es' had that lip. I think it was '86 when they switched to the big honkin' style that the '87iS had.

Lol I know man. I miss it too. Some asshole rear ended me and it got written off. I was stopped at a red light waiting to make a right hand turn because pedestrians were crossing. The guy that was coming behind me didn't notice the red light or my flashin indicator! He hit me so hard that I almost hit the pedestrian crossing. Frame was bent, exhaust all crunched up to the headers. Pretty bad hit. He hit me doing 60km/h plus. Somehow he said it was my fault. He said he couldn't see my turn signal so I told him I guess he didn't see the red light I was stopped at. Terrible day lol. Insurance gave me back what I paid for and then some. So wasn't too bad. And I'm alive lol.

I have one of these lips kicking around as well. I looked at putting it on my late model car, but as you can see it doesn't fit very well and it gives you very little ground clearance in the front when your car isn’t even that low. It left me with less than 2" of ground clearance when I mocked it up and my car was at a comfortable ride height… at full low that thing would be dragging on the ground.
