Maybe will swap to 525i badge tho...

Still having second thought? i cant stress it enough keep it OE look as we previously discuss. 3.5" single straight polished tip. simple and clean no cutting and relocation shit and you still can have a spare.
BTW. If the car had o2s ill will have cause some ruckus in this area.
its sounds even better in real life.

I dont know, still debating...Still think the TONS of extra work will be worth having it to full M5 specs! That conversion will he more time consuming then the full motor swap! One more reason i like to take the challenge...

NOOO way!!! This looks horrible, that pipe is way too small...looks like 1.5" lol.
I'll do it right, or not at all! If i go quad i cut the floor. None of this 1 muffler 4 tips crap!!!
Its a good thing this would not work on the touring, even if i wanted to!

Well I have a buds who is a welder by trade. I would just use the existing ones on the muffler and toss the cans, and just get straight pipes where the mufflers were.

The pipe to be welded needs to be bent. Its not as easy as you think. have a look underneath and you will see what i mean. Also the tips are separate and come out of each muffler (there are 4). To reuse the tips would look ugly IMO
EDIT: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39...ct-thread.html
Have a look at the thread and you will see the stock set up and what you need to do to have the mufflers deleted.
this is what someone else did on the board. neat idea, no weight savings or nicer tips though...
